Day-Old Cornish Cross Broiler Chicks – Optional Vaccinations for Marek’s and Coccidiosis – Separate Shipping

INFORMATION ABOUT PLACING AN ORDER:
You can order our Cornish Cross Broiler Day-Old Chicks with Marek’s and Coccidiosis vaccinations if you want. We send these chicks in separate packages, with at least 25 chicks in each order and at least 5 chicks of each sex. We can’t pick up FWBRs because we ship them straight from our hatching partner. Please order WBRs if you want a smaller minimum or pickup option. We send FWBRs to the continental U.S. and Alaska every week, from Monday to Wednesday.

Vaccination Details:

You may protect Cornish Cross Broilers from Coccidiosis by spraying them with a specific spray when they hatch. The spray has a dye in it that won’t hurt the chicks and will fade as they grow. Don’t give your chicks medical chick starting or any coccidiostat (such Amprolium) if you chose this choice. This will make the immunization less effective. When you add chicks to your cart, choose vaccination options.

Marek’s Vaccine:

What you need to know about Cornish Cross Broilers:
If you want meat birds that grow quickly, pick our Jumbo White Cornish Cross Broilers. These birds go by a few names, including Cornish X, Cornish Rock Cross, Jumbo Broilers, and Cornish Game Hens. They are ready to be processed in approximately 7 to 8 weeks. At 4 weeks old, they weigh 2 pounds and can be processed as Cornish Game Hens.

The Cornish Cross from Golden Hen Farm are first-generation birds that were chosen for their fast feathering, consistent growth, great feed conversion, and wide breasts. We usually have the Ross 308 and Cobb 500 strains, both of which have yellow skin, feathers, and legs. The Cobb strain may have some black spots. We can add or switch out different strains to fulfill demand. Here you may learn more about our Cornish Cross strains.

Hybrid Characteristics:

Our Cornish Cross are a rare type of hybrid that was made to develop quickly and make the best meat. You can’t hatch more Cornish Cross by crossing a male and a female of the breed because they are hybrids. Process Cornish Cross birds when they are 6 to 9 weeks old to make sure they are healthy and happy.
